SAP have partnered with the ICC to enhance the experience for fans and media at the Cricket World Cup 2015, the third largest sporting event behind only the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games. The partnership sees SAP HANA powering numerous live match experiences across the ICC’s network of websites, enhancing the experience for fans and media with real-time data, statistics and performance analysis.

In addition, fans and media will have access to ICC’s archived data and real-time data visualizations thanks to SAP insights. This is the first time over 40 years of historical ICC Cricket World Cup statistics has been publicly available, helping fans and the media get closer to the action and tell more insightful and informed stories.

The App provides access to the new ICC Match Centre, where insights from SAP HANA will enable fans and the media to access the fastest source of live scores and ball-by-ball commentary. It will also contain video highlights and the most important moments of the match that will ensure that those who haven’t caught the action live on television, will not miss out on anything.

The App will also have details of all the fixtures and results. Viewers can read the reports that will be carried for every match and catch all the breaking news and any exclusive interviews that are conducted during the course of the tournament. There are also interactive features of the app, where viewers can express their opinions through various polls that will sync with in-broadcast and get involved via the Social Hub section. The ICC will also have several former legends of the sport contribute exclusive columns that will offer their perspective on the spectacle that will be the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, all of which can be accessed through the App.
